The biggest highlight this past fall was our trip to the Middle East to perform for our troops. It was an honor and a privilege.
With both of us being US Army Veterans, it was a treat to be able to be with and entertain the soldiers, marines, airmen, and sailors. We were able to give them laughs and fun for a couple hours out of their day and to let them know that we care about them and want them to come home safe. We were reminded every day that deployments are tough and not everyone makes it back.
We were flying in a C130 military aircraft with this pallet of blood in front of us and pallets of bullets to our right. It was a sobering reminder. But we felt very safe with the military. They took great care of us. Look at us in our body armor.
And the troops really appreciated us entertaining them. We all had a blast.
One of the most rewarding things was getting unit briefings from units at every base we visited. Here is Christian in an Apache helicopter. He was loving it!
Here I am with a hard charging marine – hoorah!
It was an experience we will never forget!
