Humor is No Illusion

Poets often write of the power of illusion; at least one poet, Gina Rush, defines it as “mental turmoil”:

Beyond the plane where heaven meets soil,
Extends a realm of mental turmoil.
Down becomes up and up becomes down
A mirrored image in which to drown.

To us at the Mind Tripping Show, as we help Christian and Katalina plan their offerings for Indianapolis corporate entertainment, illusions are no dream, but an integral part of human existence. Yes, down can seem up and up appear down, but, far from “drowning”, Mind Tripping Show audiences are most likely to laugh while sharing morale-boosting insights.

Fun with an audience for corporate entertainmentMedical professionals agree:laughter is all-around good medicine, with important physiological effects.  According to the nonprofit helpguide.org, ”Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.”  This is hardly a new revelation: centuries back, the French poet Voltaire wrote, “The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.”

Our Married 2 Magic couple make no claim of medical training. Yet event planners are always amazed at the positive effects humor has had on their attendees.  The benefits of laughter during a Mind Tripping show customized to fit the needs of each company are positive and long lasting.

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that planning an event involves so much more than arranging menus, seating charts, and programming.  The secret sauce of humor can be tailored to cultivating customer relations or teaching memory hooks for new product features and benefits.

The most important and long lasting effect, the one our clients tell us carries over into workplace and home, is the emotional connection forged by laughing together.

All that “mental turmoil” can turn into mere illusion when you harness the power of humor at an Indianapolis corporate event!
